What we collect

Tagpuan is free to read without an account, and reading collects nothing about you. If you create an account, we hold the email address and display name you provide, plus the content you contribute. We do not collect phone numbers, home addresses, government ID numbers, or bank details.

Why we collect it

Your account data exists to let you contribute, to send the alerts you ask for, and to keep the site safe. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies

Tagpuan sets only the cookies it needs to work and to remember your choices. It has no advertising or analytics cookies. The Cookie Policy lists each one.

Who else handles your data

• Supabase hosts sign-in and the database.
• Resend sends the emails you request, such as confirmations and alerts.
• OpenStreetMap serves the directory map tiles. Your browser contacts it only after you choose to show the map. It then sees your IP address.

Tagpuan uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking service.

Location privacy

The directory is opt-in by default. Public listings show municipality-level precision only unless the owner separately opts into publishing exact coordinates.

Removing a listing

You can remove your farm from the public directory at any time. Removal takes effect immediately.

How long we keep data

We keep account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we erase your email address and display name at once. Questions, answers, and reports you wrote stay on the site under an anonymous author name. A short audit record of the deletion stays for safety review. It holds no personal details.

Download or delete your data

Open your account page to download a copy of your data or to delete your account. The download holds your profile, farm listing, cooperatives, alert subscriptions, and posts. Deletion cannot be undone.

Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173), you may ask to see, correct, or erase your personal data, and you may object to how we use it. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission. Write to us to use any of these rights.
